Vacation Is All I Ever Wanted

Dear Reader

9 Glorious Days in Seminole, Florida

Hey aspiring authors! This week, I'm taking a slight detour from our usual writing tips to share a personal story that I think resonates with our journey as writers and creatives.

I didn't realize I needed a break. In my mind, I already had a nice break this summer when I attended the Craft + Commerce Conference in Boise, ID... but I did need a break.

More importantly, I needed time with my family. This was one of my favorite vacations with my wife and daughter... and we've been doing them together for about 15 years.

It has me thinking differently about vacation. I'm realizing how it's not just downtime. It's an opportunity to be intentional about the relationships you value most.

My favorite part of this past vacation was the couple of hours we shared in the pool each day, laughing and connecting. Of course, my daughter is 15 now, which makes it an entirely different experience compared to the toddler days of being on high alert to ensure she doesn't drown.

Maybe this is my first vacation in 15 years... but that's another article.

Although this newsletter is focused on sharing tips for the aspiring author, thanks for allowing me to take a break and simply connect with you.

What are your vacation plans?

Remember, even as you work on your book, taking time to recharge and connect with loved ones can fuel your creativity and passion for writing. After all, these experiences often become the wellspring of our best ideas and most authentic writing.

Live Big,

Love Bigger!

Busy entrepreneurs and creators our experts at helping others take action...but seem to always put off what is most important for themselves. Trust me, I get it. I had dreams of writing a book for years until I stumbled my way through writing my first book. After finishing my book I realized that I had developed an excellent strategy for writing a book in a flash. I call it the 90 Day Knockout. Anyway, I believe there are two main things that hold aspiring authors back. A writing ritual and an easy to deploy book framework. I touch on these topics in my weekly newsletter The Write Time, plus many other ideas and inspirations to help you write that first book.
