RAGE Writing Is Your Friend

Dear Reader

I am in a massive fight with my city to enforce some serious code violations of my neighbor.

I have to be honest the rage is a bit uncomfortable for me. BUT, it did remind me of something that might be helpful for you in your writing.

Many of you don't know I am a Certified Professional Coach through the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC) and certified in their core assessment, the Energy Leadership Index.

The Energy Leadership Index (ELI) is a unique research-based assessment that measures the type of energy you are showing up with in your life and relationships.

It provides insights into how you are energetically resonating in your life and relationships. It uses a scale of 7 categories which it defines energy as being catabolic or anabolic. The lowest level being catabolic and generally victim-oriented, and level 7 being more of a state of bliss.

What I love about the assessment is it doesn't encourage a negative view on the levels but more as a guide to let you know where you are. I believe that simply observing ourselves, we raise our energy levels in a positive manner.

But back to the rage, that is actually Level 2 Energy (they call it Anger Energy). It is when the pain of Level 1 energy "being the victim" and feeling powerless causes you to take action, typically manifesting in anger and rage.

We typically associate Anger and Rage to be a bad thing...but with awareness you can focus the energy for good...hopefully moving yourself out of victimhood.

WHAT does any of this have to do with writing?

If you are finding yourself stuck wondering what to write, I often recommend people lean on their pet peeves. What really sticks in your craw as a professional? What gets you riled up?

Channel that rage and get your book moving.

What is your PET PEEVE?

Remember, a book is still the gold standard for credibility and authority. It beats out social media by providing a rock-solid foundation for a personal brand.

So, what gets you fired up? Shoot me an email and let me know! Let's turn that energy into your next book!

Keep writing, and don't be afraid to let your passion fuel your work.

Live Big,

Love Bigger!

Busy entrepreneurs and creators our experts at helping others take action...but seem to always put off what is most important for themselves. Trust me, I get it. I had dreams of writing a book for years until I stumbled my way through writing my first book. After finishing my book I realized that I had developed an excellent strategy for writing a book in a flash. I call it the 90 Day Knockout. Anyway, I believe there are two main things that hold aspiring authors back. A writing ritual and an easy to deploy book framework. I touch on these topics in my weekly newsletter The Write Time, plus many other ideas and inspirations to help you write that first book.
